A recent Gallup study revealed the state of the workplace in Southeast Asia and the numbers are alarming. It found that only 26% of the employees are actively engaged at work, feeling involved and enthusiastic about their roles. Conversely, 68% are not engaged, merely showing up and doing the bare minimum, while 6% are actively disengaged.
The same Gallup study was also done globally, and it was found that widespread disengagement had severe repercussions: 41% of employees feel stressed, 52% are actively job hunting, and $8.9 trillion is lost annually due to low employee engagement.
